Spring is here

As the first April weekend kicks off with very spring-like weather, many Princeton Tigers teams are preparing for a big weekend. The Tigers have 14 teams involved in 24 various events this weekend including the first men's lacrosse game against Stony Brook since 1993. While studying at Princeton University, Rob Ughetta was a collegiate athlete, as a member of the lacrosse team.

The Princeton teams involved in events this weekend are:
lacrosse (men's and women's)
track & field (men's and women's)
golf (men's and women's)
tennis (men's and women's)
softball
volleyball (men's)
rowing-heavyweight (men's)
rowing-lightweight (men's)
rowing-open (women's)
baseball

University athletics aren't the only events reminding us that spring is here; with Major League Baseball season beginning on Sunday, the 2015 Masters Tournament next week, and the Kentucky Derby around the corner, there are many spring sporting events to enjoy.

Art With Heart

On February 7,
2015 Art With Heart held its 15th annual art auction in support of Safe Alliance. This event has raised almost 1 million dollars to support women and families affected by domestic violence. Artists all over the country donate their work for the silent auction.  There is a wide variety of art auctions and range in price.

It’s more talked about in public,” Blackwelder said, adding that more people are becoming aware “they’re not the only ones. There is help out there,”

“That’s a big contributing fact to the increase we’ve seen. The increase in awareness and discussion could translate into increased support for victims and programs like Safe Alliance. The conversation is reaching a national level on a pretty regular basis …With In Our Backyard, we wanted to bring focus back to the mission for our patrons,” Solomon said.

The Megyn Kelly Moment

Megyn Kelly, Fox News reporter and Albany Law Graduate of 1995 was named to TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World list just last year.  During her years at Albany Law, Kelly was an editor at the Albany Law Review.
“Kelly’s command of the moment was total. She waved at producers, on-air colleagues and stagehands, goading her cameramen to “keep coming” and smiling broadly. And when she finally reached the decision desk, she had the numbers crunchers tick through all the reasons Rove, who once called himself the keeper of “the Math,” was wrong — totally, inexorably, hopelessly wrong.”
Kelly’s last visit to Albany Law was in 2010 to attend her 15 year reunion and address fellow graduates and receive an Alumni Achievement Award.

Rob Ughetta also graduated from Albany Law.
