Princeton Congratulates Five Students

Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs has selected five undergraduates from the class of 2016 for the Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative.  The Initiative was started in 2006 to encourage, support and prepare students in their pursuit of careers in the U.S. federal government in international and domestic agencies.

        "I'm delighted to extend congratulations to the five students selected as SINSI Scholars for           2016," said Cecilia Rouse, dean of the Wilson School. "They are an outstanding group of students      with remarkable qualifications, and I am certain we will hear of their many achievements as they embark upon careers in public service."

The Students recognized were Nathan Eckstein, studying Latin American studies and humanistic studies, Jamal Johnson, a politics major, Abyssinia Lissanu, politics major, Michelle Nedashkovskaya, politics major and Alex Wheatley, ecology and evolutionary biology major.

Albany Law Mourns Loss of Professor David Siegel


On October 9th 2014, Albany Law announced the sad news that Professor David Siegel has passed away.  David Siegel was very well known for his knowledge of New York law.  Professor Siegel had been a member for Albany Law’s faculty for over four decades, he taught from 1972 until his retirement in 2007.  


Siegel received his B.A. from Brooklyn College and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.  David Siegel penned many  textbooks and treatises including New York Practice, as well as New York Courts of Appeals Handbook. At Albany Law, Professor Siegel taught courses on New York Practice, conflicts and civil procedures and well as federal jurisdictions.    Along with teaching David Siegel also served several state legislative committees drafting such as New York City Court Act and the Uniform District Act.  


Rob Ughetta received his J.D., cum laude at Albany Law School of Union University.
