His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to give public talk at Princeton University

On September 9th, Princeton University announced that October 28th 2014 they will be hosting His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to address students as well as the community about kindness, compassion, and intellect.  In his talks the Dalai Lama will stress the importance of developing these attributes in an academic environment.

His Holiness will be addressing a small group of students and faculty during an afternoon conversation engaging participants to discuss the school's informal motto “In the Nation’s Services and in the Services of all Nations.”

The Dalai Lama is believed to be an enlightened being who takes rebirth instead on nirvana to serve humanity, to embody the compassion of all Buddhas and to be the patron.   His holiness goes through years of training, learning subjects such as logic, Tibetan art and culture, Sanskrit, metaphysics, and the perfection of wisdom.

The Dalai Lama now travels all over the world teaching and giving talks. He speaks about topics such as Buddhism, Compassion, World Peace, and Religious Harmony.

The talk at Princeton will be free to the public and is titled “Develop the Heart”, it will be held in Jadwin Gymnasium at 9:30 am.

Safe Alliance Fighting for Women with Fashion

Safe Alliance, an organization Rob Ughetta and his wife donate frequently to, will be hosting their 4th annual Fighting for Women with Fashion “Fall Presentation” by Nordstrom on October 7th.  The show will be held at the Foundation for the Carolinas location.

This popular event showcases local doctors and lawyers working the runway as models.  These women will be wearing Nordstrom’s latest styles for fall.  All proceeds from the fashion show will go to the development of a health clinic at the Clyde & Ethel Dickenson Violence Center.  Safe Alliance believes having an on-site health center will tremendously cut down on Urgent Care and Emergency Room visits for the women and children.
